Body Lotions & Potions

I'm currently sat here in five jumpers and a dressing gown trying to pretend that i'm basking in the Australian sunshine, when in a matter of fact i'm actually sat in my flat in London freezing my bum off. More to the point, it's winter. At this time of year my skin tends to resemble that of an alligator. (Sexy, I know right?) Obviously, this isn't the look I tend to go for so i'm sharing with you my top 3 body lotions that help me get back that smooth and glowing skin. Who doesn't want there skin to feel like a baby's bottom?

I have never come across a bad lush product and this one isn't an exception. With a sweet and floral fragrance, the lotion smells like a bunch of roses. The best part is that 100% goes to Grassroots Charites, so not only with you have super soft silky skin. You will have done your bit for a wonderful cause, another feel good factor.

Next, but not least is the Nivea Rich Nourishing body moisturiser. Possibly my favourite out of the three, this is aimed towards people with dry to very dry skin and claims that you will have noticeably smoother skin within 24 hours after use. That's a big claim to make, but do you know what... I totally agree. For that exact reason I'm already on my second bottle. The lotion is a light and creamy texture which leaves a slight sheen to the skin giving you that hollywood glow all over (Looks amazing in photos!). The scent is very subtle, which again I really like as sometimes I don't want the perfume I choose to wear to be overpowered by another scent. Most importantly this is super affordable, I think in Superdrug this retails for £2.45 (BARGAIN!)

Kiehl's Creme de Corps

This is the creme de la creme and the name actually kinda sounds like that, I'll be honest for a while I thought that was the name. There are no words to describe how incredible this smells, if you are ever near a Kiehl's store you must pop in and give this a whiff. You'll never regret it, I promise you.

The smell is not the only thing that this body butter has going for it. The texture of the lotion is liked whipped cream, this put together with the smell makes it good enough to eat. Containing ingredients such as Shea Butter and Avocado Oil which all play a part in nourishing the skin. There is no surprise that this has become a cult product in the last few years. The only downside is that this is on the pricer side of things, but my god is it worth the splurge.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite body lotions & potions are, I'm always up for trying new products!

Lots of love

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick

When these incredible lipstick's arrived in the post, I was like a little kid at christmas. So bloody excited! This is the first time I have ever ordered any lipstick in every colour possible and there is a good reason why it was this range it happened too.

I originally purchased one of the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks in the shade Cool Brown and fell completely in love, which is why I then went onto purchase the full range of colours.

The lipsticks have a soft melting texture that true to its name feels like velvet on your lips. It glides on effortlessly to provide you with a matte looking finish but without making your lips feel dry which is a problem I have come across with many other matte lipsticks. The applicator is the perfect shape and makes it so simple to apply the lipstick and re-applying is something that does not have to be done very often. This lipstick is so long lasting I can put it on in the morning and be confident that my lipstick will be popping till at least late afternoon.  Even after eating lunch and drinking coffee all day, it hardly budges. Trust me it's been tried and tested and passes with flying colours every time.

The colour range is out of this world, with a bolder selection for those super glam nights and some more Kylie Jenner-esque colours for when you want to feel like part of the Kardashian clan (Me everyday!) I will be doing a video of swatches for this, so be sure to keep an eye out on my YouTube channel.

All in all, I personally think every woman needs this lippy in there life. The price tag is so affordable and you definitely get your moneys worth and more! By far now my favourite lipsticks to date, good work Bourjous!

Lots of love,

Jordan

EVENING SKINCARE ROUTINE

My skincare routine, something that over the most recent years has become extremely important in my day to day life. It is now a ritual that I follow religiously and I enjoy every moment of. Especially after a long and stressful day, it feels like the ultimate luxury being able to focus on myself and my skincare. I also know that in the end my skin will thank me and hopefully this routine will keep me looking youthful for as long as humanly possible. I Pray!

I have spent years experimenting with a lot of different products and I will continue to do so. Your skin is constantly changing from season to season and with age so your products have to change with it. For now this is the Evening skincare routine I have been dedicated to for the last few months so i thought I would share it with you step by step.

#1 CLEANSE

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Garnier Micellar water has always been a personal fav of mine (This is my sixth bottle, say's it all really). It's so simple, so affordable and is so fantastic at removing the bulk of your make up, hence why it's always the first cleanser I will reach for.

#2 REMOVE EYE MAKE UP

Botanics All Bright Eye Soothing Eye Make Up Remover

This bad boy was the best find I ever did stumble across. A few years back I was obsessed with the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover and one day I went astray to never look back. So cheap, so luxurious and removes even the toughest of waterproof mascaras. I've told all my friends about this and they love it too! How could you not?...

#3 CLEANSE AGAIN

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm

Luxury in a tin. This cleansing balm is the best way to take the day off and put you into total relax mode. With wild sea fennel and vitamin E to rebalance, purify and reduce the appearance of pores, and extracts of jasmine and rose to restore radiance, as you can imagine with this concoction it smells like a dream come true. I feel like a princess every time I use this, which is only right considering the price tag. However, this is worth every penny.

#4 EYE CREAM

Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Eye Transforming Moisturiser Cream

Dark circles are my worst enemy. Everyday I fight them with this Olay eye cream and the one thing that does it for me is the brightening affect I get as soon as I apply it.  Instantly my eyes look brighter and feel hydrated.

#5 FACIAL OIL

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

This is a game changer, I got brought this for christmas and the bottle is still going. The way it makes my skin feel and look the morning after applying it, is just out of this world. It contains evening primrose and Lavender essential oils, which for one smell amazing but i'm also pretty sure that these essential oils help me sleep like baby.

#6 NIGHT CREAM

Moisture Restore Night Cream

Another insane smelling product, but this is not the only reason I love this night cream. It is an intensive overnight treatment to brighten and hydrate – rejuvenating and revitalising while you get some precious Zzzzzs, so your skin looks radiant come morning.

#7 SLEEP

The most important of them all, make sure you are getting at least 7 hours sleep every night. It'll improve your skin tone and help get rid of those dark circles under the eyes! Not sure about you but I love sleeping and don't need any excuse, but now i've got one.... Night, night.

Mascara's That I Heart

I feel like I spend my everyday life trying to find a mascara that will make my eyelashes achieve their fullest length, basically touch my eyebrows. Isn't that the dream? Something that's waterproof, so when i've had a few to many Gin and Tonic's and the tears start to fall, it doesn't mean I end up looking like a panda but not so waterproof that I can't get the stuff off. I'm yet to find this all rounded up into one little bottle but I think for now I am pretty darn close. So here's my current Top 6 mascaras...

L'Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara
This is the one I'm currently using, the brush is a master at getting right into the roots of your lashes to give them that incredible length and volume we are all after. The best thing about this mascara which I have never experienced from any other, is the fact that it tightlines at the root which means there is no need to add eyeliner. Theres never any clumps and it fans out them lashes like you've never seen before. Be prepared for all the lash compliments!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
My favourite of them all, I have been hooked on this bad boy for such a long time. It's a good all rounder giving you volume, length, curl and definition. Build this up with severeal coats and your lashes will be hot to trot. An added bonus is that the waterproof version doesn't take to much graft to get off either - WINNER!

Mac False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara
This is more of an everyday mascara, giving you more of a natural looking lash for those 'no makeup' days. You know what I mean? ... I feel this one is slightly overpriced for what you get compared to the drugstore brands but if the natural look is your kind thing then this is right up your alley.

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara
In a nutshell this lengthens, adds volume, separates, won't weigh the eyelashes down, doesn't flake or smudge and really does open the eyes with a slight curling effect for the lashes. If your fed up with curling those lashes, this ones for you! It contains Provitamin B5 and Serin, so its not only gentle on your lashes, but conditions them too!

Eyeko Rock Out & Lash Out Mascara
The wand of this is guitar-shaped, to coat each and every lash and leave you looking like a true Rock Chick... Sold! This is pricey but worth it, it's very buildable so you can amp up the volume with a few sweeps of this magic wand.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
The classic is all about Volume. The brush is designed to maximize the length of your lashes in two ways: by staggering the bristles so that they can grab your lashes from the root, and by using a custom-domed tip lift to define and curl even the tiniest little lashes. My only issue with this is it's a hell of a lot of effort to get it off.

What is your favourite mascara? Let me know in the comment section.

Lots of Love,

Jordan

XOXO

A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING HAUL

As it's the beginning of a new month and pay day has finally happened, i felt like splashing out on a some new bits and bobs that i've had my eye on for a while now.

Topshop is always the one place that I will accidentally fall in to on payday and true to form this week I did. There wasn't much that caught my eye but I did come across this beaut little black, white and blue top. I really love the print and the structure of the top, I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe so it's something a little different. Perfect for work, a night out or as casual wear.

I've been on the hunt for a pair of flat work shoes for a while now. I pretty much spend most of my work days in heels as I need all the extra inches I can get being 5 ft nothing, but I fancied something a bit more comfortable for those days when I can't be bothered with trotting around in my high heels. I found these cute little loafers in Zara for £19, which I thought was a bargain!

Speaking of bargains, i'm a massive sucker for them and last week when I saw that Feel Unique had 20% of all there Kérastase hair products, I couldn't help myself. For a longtime now, i've been a firm lover of the Morrocan Oil however i'm reaching the end of my bottle and felt like switching things up a little. My mum had recommended that I try out the Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oil as she's been using it for while now and says she loves it. I will do a full review on this once i've tried and tested it!

Next up i invested in three new beauty products, all of these I have heard so much about from other bloggers and youtube beauty gurus and wanted to see what all the hype was about. These are always the purchases that excite me the most and I cannot wait to try these. Firstly I have heard very mixed reviews on the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. It claims to be a Full, natural-looking coverage with unexpectedly weightless, 16-hour wear. I do love a fuller coverage, so I think this will be right up my street. However there are occasions when i feel a full coverage is just not needed and i always like to have the option of wearing something with minimal coverage. I've heard a lot about the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue and when I tried it on in store i was so impressed, it gave me a beautiful dewy glow with a light coverage which you can build up to medium coverage if needs be. The assistant used the bare minerals foundation brush to apply this and i feel so in love with it i had to purchase it too. Its so soft and blends the foundation perfectly into the skin. I will do a full review on these two foundations in the next week or so.

Until next time...

XOXO
